Icarus began as an idea to create a private crowdfunding platform to get people out of destructive habits by sending them to an appropriate wellness retreat
to restore balance to their life. Over time, it evolved into a harm reduction wellness company 
that develops supplements for addictive cravings as a measure of proactive health.

We collaborated with another local design team, Baddie Network, to ideate on the brand direction. Nailing the branding was crucial to our work because our niche audience requires a nuanced appeal and edge.

Process

While developing the brand, an array of approaches were considered and explored over a highly iterative and collaborative process with the internal team and Baddie Network.

Branding

The essence of Icarus is to retain humanity in the face of needing change.

The impulse to reach out and touch fire is the same curiosity and fearless spark that we need to maintain our vital spark.
This palette embodies Icarus’ mission by connecting to an edgy audience needing soothing and restored vitality. It reflects the complex light and dark inner words of otherwise colorful people.
