Camp Confab

Art Direction & Product Vision
Brand Identity & Style Guide
December 1-15, 2022

Camp Confab was an entirely remote two week soiree organized to share big ideas & achievements from the year, get excited about the future, & to inspire iNteractions that would otherwise be rare in a global company.

PK, an engineering and marketing consulting firm, absorbed into Concentrix Catalyst, expanding from 6 geo's to 14 over night. Almost a year later, after some growing & alignment pains, was the first company wide gathering.

We collaborated across disciplines to develop a gamified format that would entice 120 designers to join each other using Figma and Microsoft Teams, across all 14 geo's, to want to keep coming back. What better fun than to go to back to summer camp?! 🏕️☀️📣🛶⚽️📸😆

Camps & Campers

All participants were divided into distinct camps two camp counselors to help facilitate daily activities and participation.

Participation

Campers could pick & choose sessions to attend by navigating the Camp Confab map & schedule by geo or by location ⛺️📍

Each location on the map would host daily gatherings tailored to a specific category. Recordings for sessions were also made available in the Theatre for those that had to miss.

Design System

Making design work for everyone.

A robust design system using a versatile color palette with various graphic devices and unique layouts was assembled to facilitate the distribution of deck templates to presenters to help cover a wide range of topics, formats, and density of information.

Presenters were encouraged to have fun and be creative with the elements but to keep within certain constraints to maintain the look and feel.

All slide templates, elements, and design guidance were built out with Figma, Powerpoint, and Google Slides to account for the various preferences of different teams within CC.

Gamification

Event attendance was playfully gamified using bingo to earn Camp badges

If enough campmates participated in a certain behavior, a badge was earned for the camp—some were harder than others! Needless to say, the competition was on 🔥

Pranks + Pure Fun

the people Rejoiced.

Camp was in session and group identity dynamics organically emerged almost instantly. Full-blown pandemonium, in the form of pranks and silly antagonism, was unleashed on the neighboring camps and facilitators. It was pure childlike joy and shenanigans that facilitated bonding and kept attendance consistently high.
