432 Hearts is an online marketplace that showcases independent designers and conscious festival brands for consumers to have a one-stop-shopping center that supports their unique self-expression and contributes to a positively transformed world.

Making garments as accessible as possible is a key factor in the business model—this includes a recycling / resale program and an online consignment format (think Etsy + Poshmark for high-quality / ethical festival fashion).

defining the problem

We want to move away from fast fashion.

Making a dent in waste management requires the fashion industry to make big moves away from fabrics made from cheap plastic.

High-fashion modeling is dangerous

The culture of high-fashion is vapid, dark, competitive, ego-driven, exclusive, hierarchical, disconnected, and dangerous. People in the industry turn a blind eye to the corruption. Our approach highlights inclusivity, LGBTQ, all-bodies, and is wellness-focused.

Purpose

432 Hearts exists to restore integrity to the fashion industry and empower ethical fashion choices for the every day consumer.

We work with designers that are exploring and implementing sustainable and ethical material options as a requirement for partnership (e.g. hemp fur, apple-based leather, etc.)

Making a statement

Fashion is politial.

As a society, the goods we make, distribute, purchase, wear, and use continue to degrade in quality and create immense waste that our planet can no longer sustain.

We need a paradigm shift away from immediate gratification and planned obsolescence to consuming and manufacturing products that last and have meaning.

By scaling down to local makers and smaller production cycles, we can make the current systems of mass production obsolete.

A street art campaign creates awareness for our designers.

Eventually, we want to help designers make and distribute their typically handmade items as well as hire designers to create an in-house product line. Exclusivity of the work will also drive hype. Once items are out, they are out.

Dress for progress

Fashion show parties (and festivals) are organized to create hype and promote for the brand and our designers.

Models will wear our designers clothes and they will be available to purchase onsite. Clothes can be freely worn by attendees and can be purchased at the end of the night.

`The parties are documented and used as marketing for the independent artists as a benefit for being part of the collective.

Marketplace

Making garments as accessible as possible is a key factor to the business model.

This includes a recycling / resale program and an online consignment format. Detailed material specs will be important to demonstrate our commitment to putting plastic behind us.

A percentage of all sales will go toward groups helping clean up fabric waste and microplastics in our oceans.
